Sharing and permissions

Before you share, decide what your visitors need to do. Read-only works well for showing and reviewing, while edit access suits people who will modify the canvas and take part in comments.

Choosing permissions

  1. 1
    Open the sharing entry

Generate a link or invite team members from the whiteboard's sharing entry.

  2. 2
    Set access permissions

Pick read-only or edit access for the situation, and confirm how far the link is valid.

  3. 3
    Have collaborators sign in

Visitors who need to edit the canvas or work with comments must sign in first, and their account must have edit permission.

  4. 4
Tighten permissions when you are done

After the review, switch to read-only or turn sharing off so the content is not changed further.

FAQ

Can read-only visitors add comments?

No. Only signed-in users with edit permission can create, reply to, edit, or delete comments.

Are comments synced after sharing?

In a collaboration setting with the right permissions, comments and their actions are synced to other collaborators through the server and collaboration channel.
