Multimedia, links, and web embeds
Beyond shapes and text, the canvas can carry images, GIFs, video, audio, links, and embedded web pages. Multimedia used well adds evidence and context, but it should not pull focus from the main structure.
Steps
- 1Choose the content type
Pick an image, video, audio, link, or web embed depending on whether you need direct playback, preview, or download.
- 2Upload or paste the address
Upload local media, or paste a supported and reachable web address.
- 3Adjust size and position
Keep the original aspect ratio of images and video, and place media near the relevant topic so it does not cover connectors and text.
- 4Check access permissions
Before sharing a whiteboard, confirm that links and embeds are reachable for collaborators and do not depend on temporary permissions tied to your own sign-in.
FAQ
Why can some web pages not be embedded?
Some sites block being embedded in third-party pages. In that case, use a normal link or a screenshot to preserve the content.
Do video and audio play automatically?
They usually require the user to press play, which avoids sound and extra performance cost right after the page loads.
