Canvas search and quick navigation

When a canvas fills up, search is more efficient than endlessly zooming and panning. Search results can locate text, frames, and cell content in tables and swimlanes.

Steps

  1. 1
    Open search

Click the search button at the top and type a complete keyword; results update in real time as you type.

  2. 2
    Pick a result

Choose the target from the result list and the canvas moves smoothly and highlights the matching element or cell.

  3. 3
    Manage search history

Save keywords you have confirmed as history and reuse them directly for common searches; remove single entries you no longer need or clear them all.

FAQ

Can search find text inside tables?

Yes. When a match is in a table or swimlane cell, the corresponding element is located and the relevant cell is selected.

Why does history fill up after typing a single character?

Search history should only store complete keywords the user has confirmed; the live typing process is not written to history character by character.
