Annotations, voice, and attachments panel
Annotations, voice recordings, and attachments can hang off specific elements, so they do not crowd the main canvas while still preserving detailed explanations and source material. The panel on the right lets you browse and locate them all in one place.
Steps
- 1Select the target element
Start by selecting the shape, mind map node, or other content that needs more context.
- 2Add an annotation, voice recording, or attachment
Choose the type from the element's action entry, then write a rich text annotation, record audio, or upload a file.
- 3Open the combined list
Open the annotation/voice/attachment panel from more features to see the related content on the current whiteboard.
- 4Click to locate on the canvas
Selecting a list item moves quickly to the corresponding element, where you can keep editing or delete the related content.
FAQ
What is the difference between an annotation and a comment?
Annotations are better for supplementary notes on an element itself; comments are better for multi-person discussion around a specific location with reply threads.
Do voice recordings and attachments follow an element when it moves?
They stay associated with the element. Moving the element does not change the association, and you can locate and view them again from the panel.
