Canvas display modes and preferences

Beyond the light and dark themes, the canvas also offers theme color, display mode, and editing preferences. Adjust them for drawing, reading, or presenting to cut down on visual distractions.

Steps

  1. 1
    Open whiteboard settings

Go to theme color, display mode, or preferences from the whiteboard menu.

  2. 2
    Adjust the canvas display

Set the background, grid, view, and theme color as needed, keeping clear contrast between elements and background.

  3. 3
    Set editing preferences

Adjust personal preferences related to selection, drawing, snapping, or display, then return to the canvas to check the effect.

  4. 4
    Restore defaults if needed

If a combination of settings interferes with your work, restore the defaults and adjust the options one by one again.

FAQ

Do display modes change the canvas content?

Most display settings only affect how you see and edit right now; they do not change the data of the elements themselves.

Why does some media still look bright in dark mode?

Images, video, and external web pages keep their own content colors. You can improve overall reading contrast with placement, borders, or background areas.
