Sketch recognition

Sketch recognition is made for quick expression during discussion and early drafting. Once you finish a stroke, NuromBoard recognizes common shapes from the path and stays in drawing mode so you can continue with the next shape.

How to use it

  1. 1
    Select the sketch recognition tool

Choose sketch recognition from the toolbar and the cursor enters drawing mode.

  2. 2
    Draw on the canvas

Draw a closed outline close to a rectangle, circle, diamond, triangle, parallelogram, trapezoid, hexagon, or capsule; you can also draw lines and arrows. Live stroke feedback appears as you draw.

  3. 3
    Confirm the result

Release the mouse to see the recognition result. If the path does not meet the recognition conditions, it stays as a freehand stroke or is handled by the current rules.

  4. 4
    Keep drawing

The tool stays in sketch recognition mode so you can create multiple shapes in a row. Press Esc to exit the tool.

FAQ

Why was my drawing not recognized as a shape?

Usually the outline was not closed, the shape was too small, or the path differed too much from the target shape. Zoom in and draw a more complete outline for a higher success rate.

Can I draw several shapes in a row with sketch recognition?

Yes. The tool stays in drawing mode, so you can finish one shape and go straight on to the next.
